United States Law. The determination of whether inventions are conceived or made by or on behalf of a Party for the purpose of allocating proprietary rights therein, shall, for purposes of this Agreement, be made in accordance with Applicable Law in the United States as such law exists as of the Effective Date irrespective of where such conception, or making occurs.

“United States” or “U.S.” means the United States of America (including all possessions and territories thereof).

Notwithstanding other language in the Plan to the contrary, the following additional terms and provisions shall apply to those Participants who are employed by an Employer in the United Arab Emirates.

Legal Tender of United States. All payments hereunder shall be made in coin or currency which at the time of payment is legal tender in the United States of America for public and private debts.

Consultant and its Representatives will assign all rights in such inventions, improvements or developments to [[United Rentals:Organization]]. Consultant and its Representatives will otherwise cooperate with [[United Rentals:Organization]], at [[United Rentals:Organization]]’ expense, in prosecution of any patent application that [[United Rentals:Organization]] elects to undertake covering the invention, improvement or development.

“Territory” means Canada, The United States of America, and the United Mexican States.

“USD” – United States of America dollars being the lawful currency in the United States of America.
