During service in the Armed Forces of the United States, if the employee both entered such service and returned to employment with the Employer or an Affiliate from such service under circumstances entitling the employee to reemployment rights granted veterans under federal law, the employee shall be credited with the number of Hours of Service which otherwise would normally have been credited to such employee but for such absence; provided, however, that if the employee does not return to employment for any reason other than death, Disability or attainment of Normal Retirement Age within the time prescribed by law for the retention of veteran’s reemployment rights, such Hours of Service shall not be credited.
