Not Contract of Employment. The adoption and maintenance of the Plan shall not be deemed to be a contract of employment between the Company and any Person, to be consideration for the employment of any Person, or to have any effect whatsoever on the at-will employment relationship. Nothing in the Plan shall be deemed to give any Person the right to be retained in the employ of the Company or to restrict the right of the Company to discharge any Person at any time. Nothing in the Plan shall be deemed to give the Company the right to require any Person to remain in the employ of such Company or to restrict any Person’s right to terminate employment at any time.

Not Employment Contract. You acknowledge that this Agreement does not constitute a contract of employment, does not imply that Syros will continue your employment for any period of time, and does not change the at-will nature of your employment.

Nothing in the Plan, the Grant Notice or this Agreement confers upon Participant any right to continue in the employ or service of the Company or any Subsidiary or interferes with or restricts in any way the rights of the Company and its Subsidiaries, which rights are hereby expressly reserved, to discharge or terminate the services of Participant at any time for any reason

The Executive acknowledges that this Agreement does not constitute a contract of employment or impose on the Company any obligation to retain the Executive as an employee and that this Agreement does not prevent the Executive from terminating employment at any time. If the Executive’s employment with the Company terminates for any reason and subsequently a Change in Control shall occur, the Executive shall not be entitled to any benefits hereunder except as otherwise provided pursuant to Section 1.2.
