In consideration of the payments and benefits (theSeverance Benefits”) set forth in Section 2(a) and Section 2(b) of the Separation and Release Agreement dated as of February 23, 2018 by and between by and between [[Executive:Person]] (theExecutive”) and [[Company:Organization]] (theCompany”) (theSeparation Agreement”) (each of the Executive and the Company, a “Party” and collectively, theParties”), the sufficiency of which the Executive acknowledges, the Executive, with the intention of binding himself and his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, does hereby release, remise, acquit and forever discharge the Company and each of its subsidiaries and affiliates (theCompany Affiliated Group”), their present and former officers, directors, executives, shareholders, agents, attorneys, employees and employee benefit plans (and the fiduciaries thereof), and the successors, predecessors and assigns of each of the foregoing (collectively, theCompany Released Parties”), of and from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, complaints, charges, demands, rights, damages, debts, sums of money, accounts, financial obligations, suits, expenses, attorneys’ fees and liabilities of whatever kind or nature in law, equity or otherwise, whether accrued, absolute, contingent, unliquidated or otherwise and whether now known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, which the Executive, individually or as a member of a class, now has, owns or holds, or has at any time heretofore had, owned or held, arising on or prior to the date hereof, against any Company Released Party, including without limitation any claim that arises out of, or relates to, # the Employment Agreement, effective November 6, 2017 by and between Executive and the Company (theEmployment Agreement”), the Restricted Stock Unit Agreement, dated April 12, 2017, by and between the Executive and the Company, the Executive’s employment with the Company or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates, or any termination of such employment, # for severance or vacation benefits, unpaid wages, salary or incentive payments, # breach of contract, wrongful discharge, impairment of economic opportunity, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional harm or other tort, # any violation of applicable state and local labor and employment laws (including, without limitation, all laws concerning unlawful and unfair labor and employment practices) and/or # for employment discrimination under any applicable federal, state or local statute, provision, order or regulation, and including, without limitation, any claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), the Civil Rights Act of 1988, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, TX Labor Code § 21.001 et seq., the Texas Payday Law, TX Labor Code § 61.001 et seq., the Texas Minimum Wage Act, TX Labor Code § 62.001 et seq., and the Texas Communicable Disease Act, TX Health and Safety Code § 81.101 et seq., all as amended, and any similar or analogous state statute, excepting only:

General Release and Waiver. In consideration of the payments and other consideration provided for in this Release, that being good and valuable consideration, the receipt, adequacy and sufficiency of which are acknowledged by Executive, Executive, on Executive's own behalf and on behalf of Executive's agents, administrators, representatives, executors, successors, heirs, devisees and assigns (collectively, the "Releasing Parties") hereby fully releases, remises, acquits and forever discharges the Company, and all of its affiliates, and each of their respective past, present and future officers, directors, shareholders, equity holders, members, partners, agents, employees, consultants, independent contractors, attorneys, advisers, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties"), jointly and severally, from any and all claims, rights, demands, debts, obligations, losses, causes of action, suits, controversies, setoffs, affirmative defenses, counterclaims, third party actions, damages, penalties, costs, expenses, attorneys' fees, and liabilities of any kind or nature whatsoever (collectively, the "Claims"), whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, accrued or unaccrued, whether at law, equity, administrative, statutory or otherwise, and whether for injunctive relief, back pay, fringe benefits, reinstatement, reemployment, or compensatory, punitive or any other kind of damages, which any of the Releasing Parties ever have had in the past or presently have against the Released Parties, and each of them, arising from or relating to Executive's employment with the Company or its affiliates or the termination of that employment or any circumstances related thereto, or (except as otherwise provided below) any other matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including without limitation all claims arising under or relating to employment, employment contracts, employee benefits or purported employment discrimination or violations of civil rights of whatever kind or nature, including without limitation all claims arising under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act ("ADEA''), the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title VII of the United States Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, the Executive Retirement Income Security Act, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Civil Rights Acts of 1866 and/or 1871, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code, the Texas Payday Law, the Texas Labor Code or any other applicable federal, state or local employment statute, law or ordinance, including, without limitation, any disability claims under any such laws, claims for wrongful discharge, claims arising under state law, contract claims including breach of express or implied contract, alleged tortious conduct, claims relating to alleged fraud, breach of fiduciary duty or reliance, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and any other claims arising under state or federal law, as well as any expenses, costs or attorneys' fees. Executive further agrees that Executive will not file or permit to be filed on Executive's behalf any such claim. Notwithstanding the preceding sentence or any other provision of this Release, this Release is not intended to interfere with Executive's right to file a charge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (the "EEOC"), or other governmental agency, in connection with any claim Executive believes Executive may have against the Company or its affiliates. However, by executing this Release, Executive hereby waives the right to recover in any proceeding Executive may bring before the EEOC or any other governmental agency or in any proceeding brought by the EEOC or other governmental agency on Executive's behalf. This Release shall not apply to any of the Company's obligations under this Release or post-termination obligations under the Employment Agreement, including Section 6 thereof. Executive acknowledges that certain of the payments and benefits provided for in Section 2 of this Release constitute good and valuable consideration for the release contained in this Section 3. Anything to the contrary contained in this Release notwithstanding, nothing in this Release shall release or adversely affect # rights to indemnification and advancement of expenses the Executive has or may have under the bylaws or certificate of incorporation or other governing documents of the Company or any subsidiary or affiliate of the Company or any separate indemnification or similar agreement, or as an insured under any director's and officer's liability insurance policy now or previously in force; # any matters which expressly survive the execution of this Release as set forth in the Employment Agreement, the terms and conditions of which are incorporated herein by reference; # vested rights under benefit plans, which rights shall be governed by the terms of such plans; or # rights granted to Executive related to or arising out of the purchase or ownership of equity of the Company and any related award or similar agreement.

General Release and Waiver. In consideration of the payments and benefits (and any portion thereof) to be made pursuant to Section ​ of the Executive Employment Agreement, dated as of March 1, 2019 (theEmployment Agreement”), by and between [[Executive:Person]] (“Executive”) and Montage Resources Corporation (theCompany”) (each of Executive and the Company, a “Party” and together, theParties”), the sufficiency of which Executive acknowledges, Executive, with the intention of binding himself and his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, does hereby release, remise, acquit and forever discharge the Company and each of its subsidiaries and affiliates (theCompany Affiliated Group”), and each of the foregoing entities’ respective present and former officers, directors, executives, managers, members, affiliates, stockholders, agents, attorneys, employees and employee benefit plans (and the fiduciaries thereof), and the successors, predecessors and assigns of each of the foregoing (collectively, theCompany Released Parties”), of and from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, complaints, charges, demands, rights, damages, debts, sums of money, accounts, financial obligations, suits, expenses, attorneys’ fees and liabilities of whatever kind or nature in law, equity or otherwise, whether accrued, absolute, contingent, unliquidated or otherwise and whether now known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, which Executive, individually or as a member of a class, now has, owns or holds, or has at any time heretofore had, owned or held, arising on or prior to the date hereof, against any Company Released Party that arises out of, or relates to, the Employment Agreement, Executive’s employment with the Company or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates, or any termination of such employment, or any other matter existing on or before the date the Executive signs this Release, including claims # for severance or vacation or paid time off benefits, unpaid wages, salary or incentive payments, # for breach of contract, wrongful discharge, impairment of economic opportunity, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional harm or other tort, # for any violation of applicable state or local labor and employment laws (including, without limitation, all laws concerning wrongful termination or unlawful or unfair labor and employment practices) and # for employment discrimination under any applicable federal, state or local statute, provision, order or regulation, and including, without limitation, any claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), the Civil Rights Act of 1988, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Executive Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), the Equal Pay Act, the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act and any similar or analogous state statute. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Release will not apply and expressly excludes: # vested benefits under any plan maintained by the Company that provides benefits that are subject to ERISA; # health benefits under any policy or plan currently maintained by the Company that provides for health insurance continuation or conversion rights including, but not limited to, rights and benefits to continue health care coverage under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, as amended or similar state law; # any claim that cannot by law be waived or released by private agreement; # claims first arising after the date of this Release; # to the extent not paid as of the date of this Release, payments and benefits required to be made under ​ of the Employment Agreement, any future payments owed pursuant to Section 16 of the Employment Agreement, or (if still unpaid as of the date Executive signs this Release) any base salary for the pay period in which the Termination Date (as defined in the Employment Agreement) occurred; # claims for future benefits under any directors and officers insurance policies; # future rights to indemnification Executive may have under the certificate of incorporation or bylaws of the Company and its affiliates or any applicable indemnification agreements with the Company and its affiliates or applicable law; and # the Continuing Obligations (as defined in the Employment Agreement).

Executive, on behalf of Executive, his heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators and assigns, voluntarily, irrevocably, knowingly and unconditionally releases, remises and discharges the Company and all of its current and former parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, each of their respective members, officers, directors, stockholders, partners, employees, agents, representatives, advisors and attorneys, and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, estates, predecessors, successors and assigns (collectively, theCompany Parties”) from any and all actions, causes of action, charges, complaints, claims, damages, demands, debts, lawsuits, rights, understandings, obligations, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and costs), covenants, contracts, promises or liabilities of any kind, nature or description whatsoever, known or unknown, in law or in equity (collectively, theClaims”) which Executive or Executive’s heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators and assigns ever had, now has or may hereafter claim to have by reason of any matter, cause or thing whatsoever # arising from the beginning of time through the date upon which Executive executes this Agreement, including, without limitation, any such Claims arising out of, relating to or in connection with Executive’s employment or service as a director with the Company, including tort, fraud, or defamation and arising under federal, local or state statute or regulation, including, without limitation, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, as amended by the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Equal Pay Act, the Fair labor Standards Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, the Texas Labor Code (including, without limitation, the Texas Payday Law, the Texas Anti-Retaliation Act, Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code, and the Texas Whistleblower Act), each as amended and including each of their respective implementing regulations and/or any other federal, state, local or foreign law (statutory, regulatory or otherwise), that may be legally waived and released; # arising out of or relating to the termination of Executive’s employment; or # arising under or relating to any policy, agreement, understanding or promise, written or oral, formal or informal, between the Company or any of the other Company Parties and Executive.

Executive, for himself and on behalf of anyone claiming through Executive including each and all of Executive’s legal representatives, administrators, executors, heirs, successors and assigns (collectively, theExecutive Releasors”), does hereby fully, finally and forever release, absolve and discharge the Company and each and all of its legal predecessors, successors, assigns, fiduciaries, parents, subsidiaries, divisions and other affiliates, and each of the foregoing’s respective past, present and future principals, partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, consultants, attorneys, trustees, administrators, executors and representatives (collectively, theCompany Released Parties”), of, from and for any and all claims, causes of action, lawsuits, controversies, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses and demands of any nature whatsoever, at law or in equity, whether known or unknown, asserted or unasserted, foreseen or unforeseen, that the Executive Releasors (or any of them) now have, have ever had, or may have against the Company Released Parties (or any of them) based upon, arising out of, concerning, relating to or resulting from any act, omission, matter, fact, occurrence, transaction, claim, contention, statement or event occurring or existing at any time in the past up to and including the date on which Executive signs this Release, including, without limitation: # all claims arising out of or in any way relating to Executive’s employment with or separation of employment from the Company or its affiliates; # all claims for compensation or benefits, including salary, commissions, bonuses, vacation pay, expense reimbursements, severance pay, fringe benefits, stock options, restricted stock units or any other ownership interests in the Company Released Parties; # all claims for breach of contract, wrongful termination and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing; # all tort claims, including claims for fraud, defamation, invasion of privacy and emotional distress; # all other common law claims; and # all claims (including claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, attorneys fees, expenses or otherwise) that were or could have been asserted by Executive or on his behalf in any federal, state, or local court, commission, or agency, or under any federal, state, local, employment, services or other law, regulation, ordinance, constitutional provision, executive order or other source of law, including without limitation under any of the following laws, as amended from time to time: the Age Discrimination in

Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Release shall not, and is not intended to, waive or release any claim the Executive or any of his heirs, relatives, dependents, executors, administrators, successors, or assigns has # under any directors or officers insurance policy under which the Executive is covered; # for payment of vested benefits under any employee benefit or welfare plan of the Company or its affiliates in which the Executive was a participant on the effective date of the termination of his employment by the Company; # for indemnification under statutory corporate law, the Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation of the Company or any of its subsidiaries, and the Indemnification Agreement executed by the Executive and the Company dated as of January 9, 2018 (theIndemnification Agreement”); # for payment of the benefits, compensation, and reimbursable expenses set forth under Section 11 of the Employment Agreement or under the Indemnification Agreement; and # for payment of any amounts earned and not yet paid in accordance with the terms of that certain Bonus Agreement dated April 1, 2022, as amended from time to time.
