Beneficiary Designation; Change. A participant shall designate his or her Beneficiary by delivering to the Corporate Secretary’s Office a written statement or instructions in a form provided by the Company (the “Beneficiary Designation Form”). A participant shall have the right to change a Beneficiary by completing and otherwise complying with the terms of the Beneficiary Designation Form and the Corporate Secretary’s Office of the Company’s rules and procedures, as in effect from time to time. No Beneficiary Designation Form shall be valid unless accepted by the Corporate Secretary’s Office of the Company. Upon the acceptance by the Corporate Secretary’s Office of the Company of a new Beneficiary Designation Form, all Beneficiary designations previously filed shall be canceled. The Corporate Secretary’s Office of the Company shall be entitled to rely on the last Beneficiary Designation Form filed by the participant and accepted by the Corporate Secretary’s Office of the Company prior to the participant’s death.
A Director or former Director may designate a beneficiary to receive distributions from the Plan in accordance with the provisions of [Section 7] upon the death of the Director. The beneficiary designation may be changed by a Director or former Director at any time, and without the consent of the prior beneficiary, except as required under applicable law.
Beneficiary Designation. The Participant may, pursuant to the Plan, name one or more beneficiaries to whom vested benefits under this Agreement shall be paid in case of Participant’s death before Participant receives all of such benefits. In the absence of any such designation, benefits remaining unpaid at the Participant’s death shall be paid to his or her estate.
Beneficiary Designation. The Participant may designate on the attached beneficiary designation the person or persons to receive payment of Vested RSUs in the event of the Participant’s death. In the event the Participant fails to designate a beneficiary, amounts payable in the event of Participant’s death shall be paid to the Participant’s estate.
Each Non-Employee Director may designate a beneficiary for each outstanding grant of Restricted Stock and for payment of his Deferred Accounts in the event of his death. If no beneficiary is designated or the beneficiary does not survive the Non-Employee Director, the award shall be made to the Non-Employee Director’s surviving spouse or, if there is none, to his estate.
Beneficiary Designation. A Participant may designate a beneficiary to receive any Options that may be exercised after death or to receive any other Award that may be paid after his death, as provided for in the Award Agreement. Such designation and any change or revocation of such designation shall be made in writing in the form and manner prescribed by the Committee (or its delegee). In the event that the designated beneficiary dies prior to the Participant, or in the event that no beneficiary has been designated, any Awards that may be exercised or paid following the Participant’s death shall be transferred or paid in accordance with the Participant’s will or the laws of descent and distribution.
Beneficiary Designation. The Awardee may designate one or more beneficiaries, from time to time, to whom any benefit under this Agreement is to be paid in case of Awardee’s death. Each designation must be in writing, signed by Awardee and delivered to the Company. Each new designation will revoke all prior designations.
No designation or change in designation of a Beneficiary shall be effective until received, accepted and acknowledged in writing or by electronic means by the Committee or its designated agent. Any such acknowledgement not received by the Participant before his death shall not be valid.
Death of a Director/Beneficiary Designation. Each Participant under the Plan may, from time to time, name any beneficiary or beneficiaries (who may be named primarily or contingently) to whom any benefit under the Plan is to be paid in the event of his or her death.
Prior to , Participant’s beneficiary designation for this Plan were automatically the same as the Participant’s beneficiary designation recognized under the CBS Excess 401(k) Plan. Effective as of , a Participant’s beneficiary designation for the Plan will be a separate written designation in a form acceptable to the Administrative Committee that has been properly filed with the Administrative Committee and recorded in the Company’s records. If no such beneficiary designation has been made under the Plan, then a Participant’s beneficiary designation for the Plan shall be the same as the Participant’s beneficiary designation recognized under the CBS Excess 401(k) Plan, or its successors, including the ViacomCBS Excess 401(k) Plan, as applicable. If no such beneficiary designation has been made under the CBS Excess 401(k) Plan, or its successors, then a Participant’s beneficiary designation for the Plan shall be the same as the Participant’s beneficiary designation recognized under the CBS 401(k) Plan, or its successors including the ViacomCBS 401(k) Plan, as applicable.
The Participant may change or revoke any such designation from time to time without notice to or consent from any spouse, any person named as Beneficiary or any other person.
Beneficiary Designations. The Beneficiary designation for a Participant shall be the same as his Beneficiary designation under the Retirement Plan. If no valid Beneficiary designation exists at the time of the Participant’s death under the Retirement Plan, then the designation of a Beneficiary will follow the default provisions of the Retirement Plan if the Participant is a participant in the Retirement Plan at the time of his death.
Beneficiary. In accordance with the Plan, the Executive, by completing, signing and returning to the Company a "Designation of Beneficiary," shall have the right to designate a beneficiary to receive any payment of any Award (deferred or otherwise) and/or to exercise the SAR, remaining unpaid and/or unexercised at Executive's death, all in the manner and to the extent set forth in this Agreement. The designation may be changed at any time by written notice delivered to the Company. If no Designation of Beneficiary is made, any Award remaining unpaid or unexercised, in whole or in part, at the time of death of the Executive, shall be paid to, or may be exercised by, his legal representative. The Executive cannot otherwise transfer any Award.
Beneficiary. The Participant shall designate a beneficiary in writing and in such manner as is acceptable to the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Verizon (or her or his designee). Each such designation shall revoke all prior designations by the Participant with respect to the Participant’s benefits under the Plan and shall be effective only when filed by the Participant with the Company during the Participant’s lifetime. If the Participant fails to so designate a beneficiary, or if no such designated beneficiary survives the Participant, the Participant’s beneficiary shall be the Participant’s estate.
Beneficiary. Means the beneficiary or beneficiaries designated by the Participant, in accordance with [Section 10.03], to receive any amounts distributable under the Plan upon his death.
BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION
Beneficiary Designation – Subject to the spousal consent requirements of [Section 5.2], the participant shall have the right to designate his beneficiaries, including a contingent death beneficiary, and shall have the right at any time to change such beneficiaries. The designation shall be made in writing, either on a form signed by the participant and supplied by and filed with the plan administrator or through an electronic procedure established by the plan administrator for the designation of a beneficiary where no spousal consent is required by [Section 5.2]. If the participant fails to designate a beneficiary, or if the designated person or persons predecease the participant, "beneficiary" shall mean the spouse, children, parents, siblings (by the whole blood or adoption), or estate of the participant, in the order listed. For this purpose, the terms children, parents, and siblings shall exclude step relationships.
